If a chapter exceeds 120 minutes, it must be split into two audio files and labeled accordingly.

Audiobook verification is a meticulous process that involves critical and in-depth listening to the edited audiobook, ideally using headphones to replicate the listener’s experience. This review is performed chapter by chapter, with feedback added as necessary or approval granted for mastering. On average, proofing requires about 1.5 hours per hour of finished audiobook.

During verification, we listen for repeated sentences, consistency in narration, erroneous sounds, mispronunciations, gaps in sections, editing errors, and the sounds of pages turning.

This is where all the audio files are assembled, and the audio is mastered to meet the specifications required by the publishing service. This process involves ensuring a consistent tone, a consistent level per file, sample rate conversion, correcting problematic frequencies, and adding the required metadata and ISRC codes.
